The organisation Le P’tit Ciné - Regards sur les Docs is a curating and educational organisation dedicated to documentary feature films.
The activities are of three types :
• PROGRAMMING / FILM LITERACY : Creative documentary film programs (contemporary and heritage) are screened in partner cinemas. Screenings are followed by a Q/A with the filmmaker whenever possible.
• FESTIVAL : "En ville !" is a film festival around urban issues and their cultural and artistic representations (screenings and debates).
• TRAINING / AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT : courses, master classes and workshops on documentary related themes.
The organisation Le P’tit ciné - Regards sur les Docs, led by Pauline David, the Artistic Director, supports documentary screenings in art-house theatres and their audience developments. Showing films and engaging the audience into debates are our main missions, and our programming activities are to meet both a demand for artistic quality and the pleasure of the spectator.
At LPC, we pay a particular attention to audience development, and we want to think of the world as an equal place. This is why we pay attention to parity, gender issues, social violence, living together and forms of marginalisation.
Our association is a mobile structure. We do not have our own theatre, hence we have been working from day one with several partners with whom we put our projects together.
