LPC is a curating and resource centre dedicated to documentary feature films.
To that aim, we develop several activities throughout the year. For instance :
• PROGRAMMING : Creative documentary film programs (contemporary and heritage) are screened in partner cinemas. Screenings are followed by a Q/A with the filmmaker whenever possible.
• FESTIVAL : "En ville !" is a annual cinéma du réel festival - 3 Belgian and international film competitions + complementary activities (radio listening / guided tour of Brussels / lectures, etc. - not exhaustive). Since its inception, the En ville ! festival has focused on the question of territories and borders, both real and imaginary. The ones we inhabit, and the ones we need to break down.
• PROFESSIONNAL TRAINING / AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT : documentary development program + public pitching session Regards sur les docs aimed at newcomers directors / master classes / training of trainers (teachers etc.)
LPC is a curating and resource centre dedicated to documentary feature films.
At LPC, we pay a particular attention to audience development, and we want to think of the world as an equal place. This is why we pay attention to parity, gender issues, social violence, living together and forms of marginalisation.
Our association is a mobile structure. We do not have our own theatre, hence we have been working from day one with several partners with whom we put our projects together.
